I've been with this company for 10 years plus. I will be moving finally!! The list of complaints and testimonials is long. From websites/mail servers being unavailable, without alert, to configurations being completely wiped out. Their idea is great but their skill level & support level is weak. The email server is consistently virus'd and slowly but surely something gets bugged out & they restore, so you lose work, etc. Same with their web-statistics, I set up reporting for myself & clients that I host, and they've just disappeared. When I alert them ( which should be the other way around) they look into fixing the problem. They actually double charged me a few times as well. They have no phone support, either. All I can say is their giving it their best, but it's more like a weak college try. I've complained soo many times on soo many different levels, for naught. I should have left a long time ago, just honestly been too busy with other business.
I've been using these guys for a couple of years now and have finally had enough and am slowly moving all our websites to another hosting provider. The list of screwups is endless. Every time I receive an email telling me of an upgrade to their service something goes wrong. As of today my email has been down for 24 hours because of their latest upgrade. Contacting customer service is a joke. Most of the time they haven't even heard of the feature on their control panel that is broken and I have to explain it to them! I have wasted countless hours of my time talking with staff who have absolutely no technical training or even basic common sense. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY.
SeekDotNet decided to migrate our web site and in the process basically destroyed our email, web configuration, we lost data due to a database migration which was done off an old backup. As I am writing this, the issue is still unresolved after about a week. They do not have the expertise to migrate an AspNet web site to IIS7, so I don't know how they are keeping their existing customers at all. Moving the site to a new hosting provider now. Don't really have any more to say than that ;-)
There is no adequate monitoring activities. Often occur due to infrastructure problems that are addressed only after the users alert. The support and response time often is not adequate. Due to a change of servers, we lost any site access statistics for the previous year, without any prior notice to allow for export.
SeekDotNet scam! I didn't satisfy with their buggy control panel and poor web server performance and asked for refund only 2 weeks after the sign up. But so far I still not get the money after another 3 weeks. I see the ticket is still in pending status. Their telephone support still told me waiting for the response through the email. I have forgotten that piece of money now. But you should learn who is SeekDotNet and how they are!
Apparently, the features provided by seekdotnet looks attractive. They're providing the latest windows 2008, supporting .NET 4.0 and MSSQL 2008. But it's totally wrong. They never take care of your websites and business. Once you have paid them, you will find they all disappeared when you have trouble and need help for your website. Their customer staff always tells you "hold on, I have asked someone else for you." I don't know how many people they should involve to solve a problem caused by their extremely buggy control panel. Definitely, I went wrong there. I'm starting to seek another web hosting company. You can go with them but you should know that there are scam.
I hosted a DotNetNuke site with seekdotnet in 2009. I don't think they're bad on the customer support. Compared to my provider now, they're better skilled on IIS settings and .NET framework configuration. The reason why I left away from them is that their economic plan only supports one website but now I owned 5 small ones.
Seekdotnet is absolutely a bad ASP.NET web hosting company. I have used their basic host for 10 months and have no more patience on connecting their slow response customer support. I encountered two or three times server or network down in every month. I have transfered to Arvixe since June 10th, 2011 - another affordable windows web host provider but much reliable!
