Omnis Overall Review 3.50 of 5

The reliability of Omnis Linux web hosting is excellent. Based on our experiment, the service downtime is only one and half hours in 4 months which is closed to 99.97%. And the network data transfer speed is stable so far. The 24/7/365 toll-free telephone technical support works as its commitment. The more important is, with only $4.67/month, you can host unlimited domains and websites that the average cost of each website is ignorable actually.

The price of Omnis web hosting is expensive compared with other web hosts in our directory. Another concern is that they don't offer customers to pay monthly and require a two-year order in advance. Omnis may turn away customers during the ordering process.

Omnis Performance Review 3.50 of 5

We have done such experiment and testing on their Linux web hosting, created a monitor program to test their service down time. The down time in past 4 months is only one and half hours. This indicates the reliability of Omnis Linux web hosting extremely excellent in the economic web hosting industry. And when we take a look at forums and customers feedback, we still can find an overall positive experience on the reliability and uptime.

Omnis Control Panel Review 2.50 of 5

Omnis uses their own control panel called Account Manager. There is very little information on their account manager other than a few video tutorials that show you the basic functions. From our perspective, customers will be missing several features found on other control panels such as cPanel or Plesk.

Omnis Technical Support Review 4.00 of 5

Omnis offers many options on customer support as following. We have tested their 24/7 toll free telephone support. The support engineer there is warmly to offer the ontime support even it's in the midnight at 2:00AM on Saturday. And the response of email technical support is average in the industry - you can always get the feedback within 8 hours.

    doesn't recommend web hosting

Omnis is a not great windows shared web hosting provider. I’m a newbie to own websites personally. I looked a lot of providers before the check out. I had called about 4 different providers. Their customer support looks great so I decide to choose them. But I found they don't support MSSQL databases in the windows platform. They told me that I should develop my website using ASP.NET + MySQL. It's just a joke. When I'm asking for my money back, I'm charged for domain and hosting account setup fee. I only got half of my money back. Don't trust the Money Back Guarantee! *The response from Patrick, the marketing manager of Omnis Network: "We are very sorry to read that you were not satisfied with your web hosting account while at Omnis Network. Unfortunately we do not support MSSQL, and never have. It is very clearly stated on our website (http://www.omnis.com/features/) that we instead support MySQL. If you would have contacted our customer support team ahead of making your purchase, they would have also been able to tell you the same thing. We highly advise anyone looking for web hosting that supports a specific software or program, to contact that company BEFORE purchasing a hosting plan. But even after you purchased your hosting account from us, we always honor our 30 Day Money Back Guarantee. We do have to deduct the amount for the domain registration, which we normally give for free, because we cannot simply return a domain once it has been registered. Also, we never charge a setup fee for any of our web hosting accounts, so I do not believe it is possible that we could have billed you for that. If you can give me your account information, I can look up the details and make sure that you were properly credited with your refund. Otherwise, we hope that you were able to find a hosting provider to match your needs."
