Established in 1996, iWeb is now a large Canada based provider of dedicated servers, cloud servers and networks. The company was acquired by Internap in 2013 and has been expanding its services with the power of Internap data centers and Internet infrastructures since then.

iWeb offers 6 data center locations with 25,000 servers hosted: 1 in Canada, 1 in Singapore, 1 in Netherlands, and another 3 in America. The American locations include Dallas, TX, Santa Clara, CA, and Secaucus, NJ. The various locations ensure that businesses have enough choices to reduce latency to the largest possible extent for their target users.

iWeb has been honored for its great uptime and easy scalability, but in recent years, the number of complaints about its technical support has been increasing, which makes many webmasters doubt the value of the company's servers. Now that iWeb is mature in network and data center, maybe it should pay more attention to improve the efficiency and professionalism of its support team.

iWeb Technical Support Review 1.50 of 5

iWeb customers have multiple channels to seek a solution for their technical issues. They can have a live chat with a specialist, make a toll-free phone call, open a customer service ticket, or make a research in the extensive knowledgebase. Also, the support is multilingual, including English, French and Spanish.

However, the problem lies in that many answers from the so-called specialists are considered to be "stupid" or "useless". We have heard more than one user complaining that the support staff cannot clearly understand the issue they submitted. Besides, the response time from the support team is also a concern. Below is the angry voice of a user, which might not be a single case.

iWeb Uptime Review 3.00 of 5

iWeb provides all dedicated server users with a guarantee of 100% power and network uptime. Due to the use of N+1 redundancy, dynamic network routes and the Redundant Private Network Access Points which connects all servers to 11 ISPs, iWeb has indeed kept users away from network or power outages.

Also, the company promises that all accessibility issues can be resolved within 2 hours, and the hardware replacement upon users' request can be completed in 4 hours. However, these promises are not fulfilled perfectly. See how a complaint generates.

If any of the guarantees above fails to be met, iWeb compensates the user with a credit of one-day hosting fee for the first 15 minutes' unavailability and then the same amount of credit for each of the following hours.

iWeb Cancellation and Refund Policy 1.50 of 5

iWeb offers a satisfaction guarantee stating that when users are dissatisfied with the company's services, they can get a refund if they submit the "Account Termination" form within 30 days after the account activation. The refund excludes domain name, bandwidth, and all hourly billing fees. Of course, the refund will also be deducted $79 for the so-called "free setup".

The pre-payments for long terms like 12 months cannot be refunded after the first 30 days, but the user might receive a credit which can be used for later purchases with iWeb. However, the company does not offer any further information about when users are qualified for a credit of pre-payments and when they not.
