Internap Speed Review 3.00 of 5

With their data centers located in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific, Internap can spread their services to many countries and districts. Moreover, the company's Performance IP Service can help reduce latency and improve network consistency.

Managed Internet Route Optimizer technology can enhance the Internet default routing rule system and Border Gateway Protocol. What's more, MIRO-enhanced BGP will consider additional factors to find out the quickest path, including latency, jitter and service-degrading.

Internap Reliability Review 2.50 of 5

The company's data centers include a concurrently maintainable design. That is to say, each part of data center infrastructure (electrical, mechanical or otherwise) can be intentionally shut down without creating a disruption. With the concurrent maintainability, there is no need for critical equipment shutdown during planned and unplanned emergency activities.

In addition, Internap adopts N+1 redundancy generator, UPS and cooling modules to minimum the downtime. Meantime, the data centers of the company involve ultrasonic humidification systems, variable frequency drives on chillers and pumps and cold/hot aisle containment zones to save energy and make it fully used.

The company announces to provide proactive monitoring, alerting and crediting for network issues which can ensure 100% network availability, less than 0.3% package loss and less than 45 milliseconds latency. But actually the result is not satisfactory and the company still needs some improvements to increase their uptime.

Internap Feature Review 2.50 of 5

The plan mentioned above is priced at $29.2/mo with some important features, including 1GB RAM, 20GB ephemeral SSD storage and 1v CPU. As for the bandwidth, the more you buy, the lower the prices are. In other words, if you purchase the bandwidth below 50,000GB, you need to pay $0.10/GB, $0.05/GB for 500,000 GB and up, and $0.07/GB for in between. Obviously, the price is much too high and the features are limited, which are not attractive enough for most people.

Unlike some other web hosting services, Cloud hosting doesn't have control panel because of the flexibility of its service. But to make all the conditions in control, the company adopts a fully managed operation system, which means that all hardware, network and OS level configuration troubleshooting are relied on the support team.

Internap Technical Support Review 2.00 of 5

Internap claims that they will treat customers like their family members by offering 24x7 professional technical support through email, live chat and phone call. Although this web host promises anytime customer services, its live chat is not available and professional as what the company said.

Apart from that, according to feedbacks from its customers, the technical staffs are not equipped with enough specialized knowledge. Because when you ask for solutions of issues, they always tend to ask a lot of irrelevant questions instead of getting to the point straightly.
