Aplus.net Overall Review 3.50 of 5

The price value of Aplus.net Windows web hosting looks excellent. This web hosting plan uses Windows 2008 Server edition that the stability is great. For only $4.98/month, you can get all cutting-edge latest technologies from Microsoft, like .NET Framework 4.0, ASP.NET MVC 1 and 2 (v3 will be live soon after its RTM), MS SQL Server Express 2008 R2 (allows your data file up to 10GB). And it also includes a large set of internet services including Web Design, Marketing, and Reseller programs. This allows them to live up to their claim of “One vendor, one bill, one call for all your Internet needs.” Aplus.net also provides a customer directory on which customers may list their available services, and a blog to keep customers up to date on the world of technology and web hosting.

Aplus.net Performance Review 3.50 of 5

The reliability of their Windows web hosting is excellent. Their data centers use Seagate for data storage, a Cisco network, and servers based on Intel and AMD products. Based on our experiment and web hosting uptime monitor program, the uptime of Aplus.net Windows web hosting is more than 99.9%, only approximate half an hour downtime in a month. Also, no services of them are outsourced, meaning that customers will never have to deal with a host of different online vendors to meet their requirement.

Aplus.net Control Panel Review 2.50 of 5

The control panel is customized by Aplus.net themselves. It provides rich features and functionalities to customers and integrates more than 80 applications, including Drupal, Joomla, WordPress, DotNetNuke, CommunityServer etc. We didn't encounter any problems in their control panel so far but we're not managing our testing sites high frequent as the real users like you. Here needs more time to evaluate the control panel by ourselves and collect more feedback from their customers. Alternatively, you can choose the mature and well known Plesk instead. Now HostGator is using Plesk for their ASP.NET web hosting.

Aplus.net Technical Support Review 3.50 of 5

Aplus.net offers 24/7 phone support, toll-free in the U.S. Customers may also submit a request that a call be made to them, either immediately or at a specific time in the future. There is also Live Chat and email support. Aplus.net provides an online knowledge base where customers can search for answers first on their own. But based on our voted reviews, there are some customers having big concerns on their customer support service. It looks their backup servers are not ideal. If their servers go to hell, the customers need to wait a long time to the recovery - more than 12 hours.

They charge for more money but providing better service. Aplus has been our third asp.net web hosting provider since 2009. It's the most expensive and best reliable and trusted web hosting. I had frustrated experience with Godaddy and IX before. Godaddy windows plan is cheap but they're extremely slow and IX's customer support is terrible.

It's a bit expensive on costing $10 per month especially when it's limited to only 50MB MSSQL which is absolutely enough for my websites. I have to pay extra $5 per month for 100MB more MSSQL data space. On other sides, I have not gotten any problems so far for 4 months.
